• No registration required; stored data remains linked to an installation identifier.
• Random identifiers are pseudonymous, not unlinked anonymous data.

• We store supplied work experience, goals, stories, job text, and learning history.
• Our backend and Google Gemini process this content for personalized coaching.
• AI story organization previews do not automatically replace your saved story.
• Accepting and saving a preview updates your story bank.
• Lessons, answers, scores, and history remain available for continued learning.
• This content is not used for advertising or sent to Meta.

• Only photos you take or select are uploaded; we do not scan your library.
• Our backend sends selected job-posting images to Google Gemini for OCR.
• We do not persist original images in our story database or file storage.
• Extracted text is stored as a job-description draft for your review.
• Confirmed text can shape your target role and lessons.
• Provider security retention may apply; immediate deletion everywhere is not promised.
• You can type a job description instead of providing a photo.

• Personal-lesson recordings stay on your device for replay, up to seven days.
• Personal lessons send transcripts and answer data for AI assessment.
• Question-library and mock-interview speech assessment may upload recordings.
• Deepgram transcribes uploaded recordings; Google Gemini helps assess delivery.
• Uploaded audio expires within seven days unless you choose longer playback retention.
• Apple speech recognition may process speech online on some devices or languages.
• Android uses your phone's speech service, which may process online with consent.

• Support requests include your message and optional, manually entered email address.
• Installation ID, platform, app version, and language help investigate problems.
• Support email is for replies; support records have no automatic expiry.
• iPhone profile names and previously entered profile emails may also sync.
• We record onboarding, lesson, practice, feedback, and purchase events for analytics.
• Apple and Google Play process payments; we never receive payment-card details.
• Subscription records support entitlement verification and purchase restoration.
• Meta receives install, app-use, purchase, and basic device signals for advertising measurement.
• Stories, photos, audio, transcripts, and support content are never sent to Meta.

• iPhone IDFA use requires tracking permission; Android advertising IDs remain disabled.
• Our website's download link (interviewexpert.ai/download) also uses the Meta Pixel: when you open it on a phone, it tells Meta that the page was opened and which app store you were sent to, along with standard browser information and Meta's cookies, so we can see which ads lead people to the store.
• These IE 2.0 releases do not enable learning push notifications.
• They do not collect learning-reminder push tokens.
• Future reminders require updated disclosures, notification permission, and off controls.

• Stories, learning history, and support records remain until you delete them.
• Account → Delete all my data clears associated local and server data.
• This includes stories, lessons, audio, support, and device-linked analytics records.
• Shared store transaction records may remain for other devices' entitlements.
• Unsettled cost records lose their device linkage; financial records may remain.
• Data deletion does not cancel subscriptions; manage those through your store.
• Uninstalling alone does not delete server data; contact support@interviewexpert.ai.
• Export learning data in Account; withdraw AI consent in Settings.

• Supabase (database, edge functions, file storage): our backend infrastructure provider. Data is stored in their AP-Northeast-1 (Tokyo) region.
• Recordings are held in private storage that is not publicly reachable.
• Standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, request path) are kept temporarily to detect abuse and debug failures. These are auto-rotated and not used for any other purpose.
• Google Gemini API, our AI coaching model. Per Google's API terms, this data is not used to train Google's models.

Interview Expert is intended for users 17 and older preparing for professional job interviews. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we'll delete it immediately.

If we change anything material (what we collect, who we share with, how long we keep it), we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, surface a notice in the app.
